It’s winner takes all Saturday in the playoff series between the Lightning and Maple Leafs.
Tampa Bay’s Brayden Point ensured that when he slipped a shot by Maple Leafs goalie Jack Campbell during a scrum in front of the net. The puck was inadvertently knocked into the net by Toronto’s Michael Bunting with 1:56 remaining in overtime to give the Lightning a 4-3 win.
The series is tied 3-3, with Game 7 Saturday in Toronto at 7 p.m.
The two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning trailed 3-2 before Nikita Kucherov scored the tying goal at 9:20 of the third period.
