Shane Abbott raises more than $15k in January

DeFuniak Springs Republican Shane Abbott raised more than $15,000 last month, according to his campaign’s latest finance update.

Abbott’s campaign raised $10,267 during the month of January, while his political committee brought in $5,000 during that same time.

Abbott’s most recent fundraising efforts in the Republican-only race to succeed Rep. Brad Drake in House District 5 brings his campaign’s total to $293,797 raised.

“Our campaign continues to gain momentum through the first month of 2022,” said Abbott. “Our campaign’s grassroots team has already collected the petitions needed for me to qualify for the ballot, and we’re not stopping.”
