The University of South Florida women’s soccer team saw its season end Sunday with a 2-0 loss against North Carolina State in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Wolfpack had one goal in each half and goalkeeper Maria Echezarreta made that margin stand up.

This is USF’s first loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament since 2015. The Bulls finished with a 12-4-3 record.

USF junior forward Sydny Nasello of Land O’Lakes was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season after leading the conference in goals (11) and second in assists (5).
