As the holidays approach, Metropolitan Ministries (MM) is prepping for a season of giving, hosting a tent blessing ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
The community prayer and worship ceremony will commence the ministries’ Thanksgiving and Christmas season of inspiring hope and caring for Tampa Bay neighbors in need. You can view the service here.
The nonprofit is expecting to serve 42,000 at-risk and struggling families this holiday season. MM anticipates needing 1 million pounds of food and 21,000 volunteers, with 50,000 children counting on the organization for gifts this year.
MM will be accepting donations at tent locations across Tampa Bay.
