News junkies and students of American politics, mark your calendar for June 14. CNN’s Jake Tapper is coming to St. Petersburg to talk about politics and his new political thriller novel, “The Hellfire Club.”
Tapper is so well-known that he’s been portrayed in an irreverent “Saturday Night Live” sketch.
The conversation at the Mahaffey Theater, moderated by The Poynter Institute’s Indira Lakshmanan, will feature Tapper discussing his years of covering politics and talking about his new book. “The Hellfire Club,” a best-seller set in the 1950s McCarthy era, tells the story of a congressman who discovers a conspiracy.
