St. Petersburg philanthropists Kate Tiedemann and Ellen Cotton are donating $14 million to the University of South Florida to support the USF Muma College of Business.

The gifts will be directed to the college’s Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance. There, the funding will help the school’s fintech program, which works to improve traditional methods of delivering financial services to simplify financial transactions, making them more accessible and, often, more affordable to consumers and businesses.

“Their generous new gifts continue their legacy of preparing our business students for a bright future,” USF President Rhea Law said in a statement.
