The University of South Florida Board of Trustees appointed Rhea Law as the school’s interim president Monday.
Will Weatherford, chair of the Board, announced Law’s nomination last Thursday. Law will receive the same compensation as the former president, Steven Currall, with base pay starting at $575,000 annually and a monthly vehicle and housing stipend of $8,000 a month.
Law previously served as chair of the university’s Board of Trustees. She graduated from USF and went on to earn a law degree from Stetson University
Currall announced earlier this month he plans to retire after just two years leading the institution.
