Foundation brings back Summer Career Acceleration Program

by The 100 Companies

The Pinellas Education Foundation’s Summer Career Acceleration Program is returning fully in 2021, after a limited year in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In partnership with Bank of America, the eight-week program will place more than 100 Pinellas County high school students at 34 local businesses, where participating students will assume the responsibilities of an entry-level position. Students will work 20 hours per week and be paid for their time.

The program also includes career readiness skills training and a financial literacy workshop.

Businesses that want to participate in the 2022 Program should contact Donna Burns at Donna.Burns@pinellaseducation.org.
