Teaching nonprofits to take a business approach

Tampa Bay is filled with nonprofits looking to fill voids in education, health care and human welfare services, among others. However, many of these organizations struggle with sustainable funding.

One solution? Social enterprises that combine the nonprofit’s mission with a business approach. Social Venture Partners is working to help nonprofits develop these social enterprise ideas and strategies with Fast Pitch Tampa Bay.

Local nonprofits can apply now for the Fast Pitch program, which includes a free two-month training and mentoring program led by local experts. The program culminates with a Shark Tank-style pitch Oct. 25 at the Palladium.
