Stingrays return to Tampa Electric’s Manatee Viewing Center after temporary relocation

by The 100 Companies

The stingrays have returned to Tampa Electric’s award-winning Manatee Viewing Center following the completion of extensive repairs after hurricane damage in 2024.

Seven cownose rays are back in their 8,300-gallon touch tank after temporarily relocating to The Florida Aquarium, and the hands-on exhibit has officially reopened to the public.

The rays have been at the center since 2016.

Tampa Electric has installed two new state-of-the-art webcams, offering enhanced views of the manatees that gather in the warm-water canal during colder months. Located in Apollo Beach at the Florida Conservation and Technology Center, the Manatee Viewing Center is open daily Nov. 1 – April 15.
