Few burger joints in St. Petersburg are as iconic as El Cap, the rustic, hole-in-the-wall eatery on Fourth Street North.
It’s new owners don’t plan to erase its drab, yet uniquely El Cap wood-paneled walls though.
Seed & Feed Hospitality group, which owns other spots in St. Pete such as Mandarin Hide and Trophy Fish, purchased half of El Cap, with the other half remaining under the control of Cindy Nally, a worker who’s been there about 20 years.
The new owners are St. Pete natives and plan to keep El Cap’s rustic charm alive, including its renowned World Champ burgers.
