Tampa Bay’s Winner and Loser of the Week

Winner: USF. The University of South Florida reported a record $151.8 million in fundraising gifts for the 2021-22 fiscal year. It’s the fourth consecutive year the university raised more than $100 million.

“Our university has a history of setting ambitious goals and surpassing expectations,” USF President Rhea Law said.

Loser: Pasco deputies. The Tampa Bay Times reported they tried to evict Jennifer Michele from her home in Land o’ Lakes.

Oops. They had the wrong house.

The story didn’t end there. Michele posted footage of the incident from her Ring doorbell on TikTok, and it has more than 5 million views.
