Tampa General Hospital reflects on Donate Life Month

To recognize National Donate Life Month, Tampa General Hospital enlisted artist Laura Thomas to create a chalk mural. The piece, titled “Bee a Donor,” spreads awareness of  the critical demand for organ, eye and tissue donors.

Currently, there are more than 107,000 individuals in the U.S. who await organ donations. Over 5,000 of those in need are Floridians.

Since 1974, TGH’s Transplant Institute has performed more than 12,000 organ transplants. As one of the  busiest transplant institutes in the U.S., TGH is  committed to ensuring all patients get a chance.
