Tens of thousands of Tampa Bay workers are night owls, a new Porch study says. Just above 5% of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area’s total workforce brave the graveyard shift. Nevada has the highest percentage of night shift workers at 9.5%.
The study also found that the median annual wage for night workers in Tampa Bay was $29,900, just $100 less than the national average of $30,000.
To determine the metropolitan areas with the most night shift workers, Porch analyzed data from the U.S. Census Bureau of workers who arrive at work between 5:00 p.m. and 3:59 a.m.
