St. Pete’s Sundial to be sold to Safety Harbor developer

by The 100 Companies

The open-air Sundial plaza in downtown St. Pete is set to be sold to a Safety Harbor real estate developer, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported Tuesday.

The landmark plaza’s current owner, Bill Edwards, reached a deal with a corporate entity linked to Paradise Ventures, which will purchase the property for $27.5 million. The sale is pending.

The St. Pete City Council will meet on Feb. 10 to vote on  amending the city’s parking agreement amid the transfer of Sundial’s ownership. Paradise Venture plans to close the deal Feb. 17.

The acquisition does not include the AMC Sundial 12 movie theater.
