The South Tampa Chamber has named Dr. Charles Lockwood its 2022 Citizen of the Year.

Lockwood is the senior vice president for USF Health, as well as dean of the Morsani College of Medicine. There, he works as a professor of obstetrics and gynecology and public health.  He also serves as an executive vice president at Tampa General Hospital.

“Dr. Lockwood and his team have led the charge against COVID-19,” said board chair Chris Bentley.

Lockwood will receive the award and will be the keynote speaker at a luncheon hosted by the Chamber on Feb. 16 at the Centre Club.
