Online shopping giant Amazon has purchased land near Tampa’s MacDill Air Force base, where the company is set to place a delivery station.

Amazon paid $9.5 million for the 25.5 acres near the base, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The company purchased the land from Jacksonville-based Florida Rock and Tank Lines.

A developer familiar with Amazon, Seefried Industrial Properties of Atlanta, filed plans for a 123,769-square-foot delivery station, which is the last stop for a product before it’s delivered to a customer.

The new location reflects efforts by Amazon to get products to Tampa Bay consumers within hours.
