Tampa General Hospital is renaming its pediatric inpatient services as TGH Children’s Hospital, which will undergo a major renovation soon.
The first phase is a $7.5 million remodel of two of the three wings of the TGH Children’s Hospital to create a light, bright and comforting space that reflects medical advances and best practices.
The renovation will also include new updates to all 46 patient rooms and a revitalized waiting room, as well as renovations to two nurse’s stations and lounges.
The design phase is set to start this fall with input from patients’ families, staff and physicians.
