The Box Car Rally is all grown up

This year marks the 10th anniversary of our Box Car Rally, and it’s truly come a long way. Three fun facts about our first race:

– We had no ramp and pushed the cars ourselves. It brought a whole new meaning to “putting blood, sweat and tears” into the event.

– We didn’t have any barricades around the track – just a few sporadic tires to protect the racers. We quickly learned that was a bad idea.

– We used to measure the cars with bathroom scales during weight inspections. Now, we have a large custom-built professional scale to weigh the box cars.
