Having an on-site gym at your office or hotel is a perk, but chances are you’re probably not analyzing its design and layout as you pump iron. Queue Corporate Fitness Works’ CFW Design team: They think about the things us gym-goers wouldn’t consider.
Two examples:
– Ensuring the gym’s front desk at Toyota’s headquarters is a 15-pace walk from the locker rooms. Research shows gym-goers want efficiency.
– Adding a recharge area near the front of the gym at Lowe’s headquarters, giving employees space to play shuffleboard or electronic darts without having to trek through the entire gym.
