In a recent edition, we highlighted 14 local nonprofits that were participating in Give Day Tampa Bay, a 24-hour online giving challenge presented by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.
Give Day, held on May 1, encouraged nonprofits to raise awareness of their missions, be more creative in fundraising, and find donors who would match funds. The result? More than 8,200 donors raised over $1.76 million for 420 local nonprofits.
But, beyond the numbers, Give Day Tampa Bay has increased awareness of the vital nonprofits in our community and encouraged people to find joy in giving back.
