More Women Lead Florida Companies

Women are making progress, albeit slowly, in corporate leadership roles in Florida, according to a new census of Florida’s top public companies. The percentage of women serving as directors of Florida’s 100 largest public companies has increased to 16%, up from 9% in 2010.

Plus, more women are leading Florida companies. One in three of Florida’s top companies has a female senior-level executive.

Florida companies that have gender diversity in leadership roles outperform companies without such diversity. Women in Executive Leadership is working in tandem with 2020 Women on Boards to increase the number of women in corporate leadership.
