Local Employee Steps up for Puerto Rico

by

Katya Perez-Lopez, USAmeriBank’s chief accounting officer, moved to the States four years ago from Puerto Rico. Most of her family still lives there and are reeling from the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.

Heartbroken and wanting to help, Katya rallied her co-workers for a donation drive to send care packages back to her homeland, where basic necessities such as toiletries and canned food are needed. Word about her initiative quickly spread, and our customers started dropping off donations, too.

We’re very proud of Katya for leading this effort, and we thank our employees and customers for their support.
